Educational Activities
Since the inception of the museum in the year 1991 hundreds of educational activities have been organized in the museum.These activities include the calendar year activities and other activities like exhibition, lectures, discussions, presentations etc. on various occasions. Many lectures of foreign scholars have also been organized by the museum on the different aspects of Indology. Many awareness programme on conservation and preservation of heritage have also been organized time to time in the past. Museum is also endeavouring for the promotion of tourism in Haryana in general and Kurukshetra in particular. Time to time many presentations have been made by the museum on different occasions for exploring the possibilities and perspectives for the development of Tourism in Kurukshetra. Besides these activities museum has organized exhibitions at Bangalore and Delhi on the occasion of Mahabharata Festivals in the year 2005 and 2010 respectively. One exhibition on Heritage of greater Kurukshetra was organized in Kurukshetra University in the year 2012. In the year 2015 museum has organized exhibitions at Surajkund (Faridabad) during craft fair and at Pehowa (Kurukshetra) on the occasion of Chaitra fair. In the year 2016 museum has organized an exhibition on ‘Kurukshetra’ on the occasion of Simhasth Mahakumba Mela at Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh).
